Why we care
Seahorses are monogamous and mate for life. They are among the only animal species on Earth in which the male bears the unborn young. Seahorses are threatened due to overfishing and unsustainable trade. They are traded internationally for use in aquariums, as souvenirs, and in traditional Asian medicine.
